NNMT Inhibitor — Marketed for Fat Loss & Longevity (Not Recommended)
Matrix Advisory
Source evidence does not support this compound. Zero convincing human data. Not recommended for Matrix protocols. Do not buy — this is snake oil.
5-Amino-1-MQ is a small-molecule inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism. It has been marketed aggressively in the peptide space as a fat-loss and longevity compound. Source assessment: there is no convincing human evidence that it works for either purpose.
Inhibits NNMT, which theoretically increases NAD+ availability and shifts energy metabolism toward fat oxidation. In cell cultures and some rodent models, NNMT inhibition has shown metabolic effects. However, these results have not translated to meaningful outcomes in humans.
