Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker — Gold Standard Blood Pressure Support
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) and the gold standard pharmaceutical for blood pressure management in the performance-enhancement context. It has the longest half-life of all ARBs, provides 24-hour coverage with once-daily dosing, and offers additional PPAR-gamma activation for metabolic benefits.
Selectively blocks the AT1 receptor, preventing angiotensin II from causing vasoconstriction, aldosterone release, and sodium retention. Also acts as a partial PPAR-gamma agonist, providing insulin-sensitizing and anti-inflammatory effects beyond blood pressure reduction.
