KPV

Lys-Pro-Val — Anti-Inflammatory Peptide for Gut Mucosa Healing & IBD Support

What It Is

KPV (Lysine-Proline-Valine) is a naturally occurring tripeptide derived from alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). It is a potent anti-inflammatory agent with particular affinity for the gut mucosa, making it a key peptide for inflammatory bowel conditions and systemic inflammation management.

Mechanism of Action

Lowers pro-inflammatory cytokines including TNF-alpha and inhibits NF-kB signaling in gut epithelial and immune cells. By suppressing these inflammatory cascades, KPV reduces mucosal inflammation, supports gut barrier integrity, and promotes tissue healing in the gastrointestinal tract.

Benefits

Gut mucosa healing
IBD / IBS symptom relief
TNF-alpha suppression
NF-kB pathway inhibition
Systemic anti-inflammatory
Gut barrier integrity

Clinical Note

KPV is considered one of the safer anti-inflammatory peptides. Oral bioavailability is acceptable for gut-targeted effects, though SubQ may provide more reliable systemic anti-inflammatory action.
